Short answer
A router fence fits when your table's width, top thickness and mounting points fall inside the range its maker states. Measure those three before you buy. No fence in our sources is a "fits all tables" fence; each fits the range or the tables its maker names.
The three numbers that decide fit
Router table fences attach in one of a few ways: clamps or bolts at the table's edge, bolts in slots cut through the top, or brackets on edge rails. Whichever it is, the maker states a range. Your table has to fall inside it.
- Table width (or the distance from the bit to each edge).
- Top thickness, where the fence clamps or bolts.
- Mounting points: slot spacing, edge rails, or the edge the fence clamps to.
What each maker states
| Fence | Mounting the maker states | Exclusions the maker names |
|---|---|---|
| Kreg PRS1015 | 36 in overall; single-side mounting on tops 3/4 to 1-1/2 in thick; designed for a 32 in table width with the bit hole 16 in from the right side | Not the SawStop RT-F27 or Ryobi A25RT03; not suited to the Kreg PRS2100 benchtop (Kreg Q&A) |
| Woodpeckers SF-PRO Universal (SFPRO-U-25) | Tables whose slots are 16-3/4 to 33-1/4 in apart, including edge-rail tables such as JessEm and SawStop | None stated; fence length and top thickness range not shown |
| INCRA Wonder Fence | Attaches to the INCRA TS-III, LS Positioner or Jig Ultra, or mounts to a router table on its own with the included clamps | None stated; fence length not given |
Kreg PRS1015
Kreg lists the PRS1015 as 36 in overall, for single-side mounting on tops 3/4 in to 1-1/2 in thick, designed for a 32 in table width with the bit hole 16 in from the table's right side.[1] In the Q&A on the same page, Kreg says it does not fit the SawStop RT-F27 or the Ryobi A25RT03, and is not suited to the smaller PRS2100 benchtop table.[1]
Kreg's own PRS1025 table top measures 1-1/16 x 24 x 32 in.[2] That top falls inside the PRS1015's stated thickness and width, and Kreg lists the top as compatible with its Precision Router Table Fence.[2]
Woodpeckers SF-PRO Universal
Woodpeckers says the SF-PRO Universal fits tables whose slots are between 16-3/4 in and 33-1/4 in apart, including edge-rail tables such as JessEm and SawStop.[3] The page we read did not show the fence length or a table thickness range, so check those with Woodpeckers if your top is unusually thick or thin.
INCRA Wonder Fence
INCRA says the Wonder Fence attaches to the INCRA TS-III, the INCRA LS Positioner and the INCRA Jig Ultra, or mounts to a router table on its own with the included clamps.[4] INCRA's page gives no fence length. If you pair it with an LS Positioner, INCRA sells the LS17, LS25 and LS32 with 17, 25 and 32 in of fence travel.[5]
Tables in our reference set
The table pages below collect each table maker's top size and what fence makers say about it.
| Router table | Top size and material | Fence fit and mounting |
|---|---|---|
| Kreg Precision Router Table top (PRS1025) | 1-1/16 x 24 x 32 in; MDF, melamine and aluminum (Kreg). | Kreg PRS1015 fence: 36 in overall, single-side mounting on tops 3/4 to 1-1/2 in thick, designed for a 32 in table width with the bit hole 16 in from the table's right side. Kreg lists the PRS1025 as compatible with its fence. |
| JessEm Mast-R-Top (03006 white, 03007 black) | 24 x 32 x 3/4 in laminated phenolic; 03006 white, 03007 black (JessEm). | Woodpeckers says its SF-PRO Universal fence fits edge-rail tables such as JessEm, for slots 16-3/4 to 33-1/4 in apart. |
| Bosch RA1181 benchtop router table | Not confirmed | Bosch's own fence has a T-slot on top; the included fence featherboard mounts there with 1/4-20 x 1-1/2 in carriage bolts. |
| Bosch RA1171 cabinet router table | Not confirmed | Not confirmed |
| INCRA router tables and plate openings | Not confirmed | INCRA's Wonder Fence attaches to the INCRA TS-III, LS Positioner and Jig Ultra, or mounts to a router table on its own with the included clamps; adjustable fence gap up to 4-1/2 in. |
| Rockler and Bench Dog router tables | Not confirmed | Not confirmed |
| SawStop router tables | Not confirmed | Woodpeckers names SawStop edge-rail tables for its SF-PRO Universal fence (slots 16-3/4 to 33-1/4 in apart). Kreg's Q&A says the PRS1015 fence does not fit the SawStop RT-F27. |
Stops and add-ons fit named fences only
Accessories that clamp to a fence fit the fences their maker names. JessEm says its Router Fence Stop fits the JessEm TA Fence, Mast-R-Fence III and Mast-R-Fence II, but not the original Mast-R-Fence.[6] Treat any stop, hold-down or guard the same way: check the fence model on the maker's list.
A measuring checklist
Before you order a fence, write down:
- Table width side to side, and the distance from the bit center to each side.
- Depth from the bit center to the back edge, which limits how far the fence can move back.
- Top thickness where the fence will clamp or bolt.
- Slot spacing if your top has fence slots, measured center to center, or the edge rail type if it has rails.
- Anything in the way: a miter slot, a lift's access hole, a saw fence rail.
Then compare each number with the fence maker's stated range. Our guide to measuring a router table before buying parts covers plate and slot measurements too.

Questions
Will a Kreg PRS1015 fence fit my table?
Kreg designs it for a 32 in wide table with the bit hole 16 in from the right side, mounting on one side of tops 3/4 to 1-1/2 in thick. Kreg's Q&A says it does not fit the SawStop RT-F27 or Ryobi A25RT03 and is not suited to the PRS2100 benchtop.[1]
What size fence do I need for a 24 x 32 in table?
One whose maker states a range that includes your table. Kreg's PRS1025 top is 24 x 32 in, and Kreg designs its 36 in PRS1015 fence for a 32 in table width. For any other fence, compare its stated mounting range with your measurements.[2][1]
Can I use a router fence on a table saw extension wing?
Only where the fence maker names that kind of table. Woodpeckers says its SF-PRO Universal fits tables with slots 16-3/4 to 33-1/4 in apart, including edge-rail tables such as JessEm and SawStop. Kreg says its PRS1015 does not fit the SawStop RT-F27.[3][1]
Will a fence stop fit any fence?
No. JessEm says its Router Fence Stop fits the JessEm TA Fence, Mast-R-Fence II and Mast-R-Fence III, but not the original Mast-R-Fence.[6]
