Router table fences: mounting range, table size and dust-port hose fit
Choose a router table fence by your table's width, top thickness and slot spacing, the fence maker's stated range and exclusions, and the hose its port takes.

Short answer
Choose a fence by how it mounts on your table, not by its length. Check your table's width, top thickness and slot spacing (or edge rails) against the fence maker's stated range and named exclusions; then check that its dust port takes the hose you own. A port that fits your hose is a fit, never a dust-capture figure.
What a router table fence does
A router table fence guides the work past the bit and sets how much of the bit is exposed. Most have two faces, the infeed fence and the outfeed fence, and a dust port behind the bit opening. A fence clamps to the table's edge, bolts into slots in the top, or rides edge rails, so the mounting method decides whether it fits at all.
The decisions, in order
1. Your table's width, thickness and slots or rails. Kreg lists the PRS1015 fence as 36 in overall, for single-side mounting on tops 3/4 to 1-1/2 in thick, designed for a 32 in wide table with the bit hole 16 in from the right side.[1] Woodpeckers says the SF-PRO Universal fence fits tables whose slots are between 16-3/4 and 33-1/4 in apart, including edge-rail tables such as JessEm and SawStop.[2] INCRA says its Wonder Fence mounts to a router table on its own with the included clamps, or attaches to the INCRA TS-III, LS Positioner and Jig Ultra.[3] Measure your table first: see fence mounting and table size.
2. The maker's exclusions. Kreg's Q&A says the PRS1015 does not fit the SawStop RT-F27 or the Ryobi A25RT03, and is not suited to Kreg's smaller PRS2100 benchtop table.[1] An exclusion like that outranks any "fits most tables" line on a listing.
3. Split or single face. INCRA's Wonder Fence is all aluminum, with independently adjustable infeed and outfeed fences and an adjustable fence gap of up to 4-1/2 in.[3] INCRA states adjustment in 2/1000 in steps over a 1/8 in range;[3] its LS Positioner comes in 17, 25 and 32 in travel and positions the fence at any multiple of 1/32 in.[4] Those are INCRA's mechanism figures, not measured accuracy. See split vs single-face fences.
4. The port against your hose. Woodpeckers says the SF-PRO Universal port is sized for a 2-1/2 in dust collection hose or a 2-1/4 in shop vac hose.[2] A Kreg Q&A answer gives the PRS1015 port as 2-1/2 in.[1] INCRA says the Wonder Fence elbow fits industry-standard hoses and gives no diameter.[3] See dust port hose sizes.
5. Stops and featherboard track. Accessories are fence-specific. JessEm says its Router Fence Stop fits the JessEm TA Fence, Mast-R-Fence III and Mast-R-Fence II, but not the original Mast-R-Fence.[5] If you plan to mount featherboards on the fence, check its T-slot: see T-track bolts and stops.
Dust is a health question, not a fit question
OSHA says sanders, shapers and routers generally produce the greatest amount of dust among woodworking machines, and that conventional means of exhausting them are not very effective.[6] No source we found measures what any fence port captures. Read what OSHA, NIOSH and IARC say about wood dust before you rely on a port.
How to choose
Find your table on the table finder to see its fence notes, then compare its slot spacing or width with each maker's range.

Common questions
Which fence fits a SawStop router table?
Woodpeckers names SawStop among the edge-rail tables the SF-PRO Universal fits. Kreg's Q&A says the PRS1015 does not fit the SawStop RT-F27. More in Kreg PRS1015 vs Woodpeckers SF-PRO Universal router fence
Which fence fits the Kreg PRS1025 table top?
Kreg lists the PRS1025 top as compatible with its Precision Router Table Fence, the PRS1015. Woodpeckers' range is stated by slot spacing, so measure your top's slots before choosing the SF-PRO. More in Kreg PRS1015 vs Woodpeckers SF-PRO Universal router fence
Do both fences take a 2-1/2 in hose?
Woodpeckers says the SF-PRO port takes a 2-1/2 in dust collection hose or a 2-1/4 in shop vac hose. A Kreg Q&A answer gives the PRS1015 port as 2-1/2 in. Neither maker publishes a capture figure. More in Kreg PRS1015 vs Woodpeckers SF-PRO Universal router fence
Is the SF-PRO more accurate because of its 0.001 in dial?
We cannot say. The 0.001 in figure is Woodpeckers' dial graduation, not a measured accuracy, and we found no independent measurement of either fence. More in Kreg PRS1015 vs Woodpeckers SF-PRO Universal router fence
What size hose fits a router fence dust port?
The size the fence maker states. Woodpeckers says the SF-PRO Universal port takes a 2-1/2 in dust collection hose or a 2-1/4 in shop vac hose; a Kreg Q&A answer gives the PRS1015 port as 2-1/2 in. More in Dust ports: 2-1/2 in hose, 2-1/4 in shop-vac hose and 35 mm adapters
Will my shop vac hose fit?
Measure your hose end and compare it with the maker's stated port size. Woodpeckers names a 2-1/4 in shop vac hose for the SF-PRO; Bosch says 35 mm hoses need the VAC004 adapter on the RA1181 and RA1171. More in Dust ports: 2-1/2 in hose, 2-1/4 in shop-vac hose and 35 mm adapters
Does a fence dust port collect all the dust?
No source we found measures that for any of these ports. A hose that fits is a connection, not a capture figure. OSHA says routers are among the woodworking machines that produce the most dust. More in Dust ports: 2-1/2 in hose, 2-1/4 in shop-vac hose and 35 mm adapters
What hose fits the INCRA Wonder Fence?
INCRA says its dust port elbow fits industry-standard hoses but states no diameter. Ask INCRA or measure the elbow before buying a hose or fitting. More in Dust ports: 2-1/2 in hose, 2-1/4 in shop-vac hose and 35 mm adapters
Questions
Will a Kreg fence fit my table?
Kreg lists the PRS1015 for single-side mounting on tops 3/4 to 1-1/2 in thick, designed for a 32 in wide table with the bit hole 16 in from the right side. Kreg's Q&A says it does not fit the SawStop RT-F27 or the Ryobi A25RT03, and is not suited to its PRS2100 benchtop table.[1]
What size hose fits a router fence port?
The size that fence's maker states. Woodpeckers sizes the SF-PRO Universal port for a 2-1/2 in dust collection hose or a 2-1/4 in shop vac hose, and Kreg's Q&A gives the PRS1015 port as 2-1/2 in. INCRA gives no diameter for the Wonder Fence port. See the dust port guide.[2][1][3]
Do I need a split fence?
Only for jobs that need the infeed and outfeed faces set apart or offset. INCRA's Wonder Fence has independently adjustable infeed and outfeed fences with a gap of up to 4-1/2 in. See split vs single-face fences.[3]
Does a fence dust port collect all the dust?
No source we found measures how much any router fence port captures. OSHA says routers are among the machines that produce the most dust, and that conventional exhaust for them is not very effective. A port that fits your hose is a fit, not a capture figure.[6]
