Kreg PRS1015 vs Woodpeckers SF-PRO Universal router fence

Two router table fences compared by what their makers state: mounting range and table size, named exclusions, dust port hose size and adjustment graduations.

Short answer

Choose by your table first. For a Kreg PRS1025 top or another 32 in wide table with the bit 16 in from the right, Kreg designs the PRS1015 for exactly that. For a JessEm or SawStop edge-rail table, or a top with fence slots 16-3/4 to 33-1/4 in apart, Woodpeckers says the SF-PRO Universal fits. Kreg says the PRS1015 does not fit the SawStop RT-F27.

Choose the Kreg PRS1015 for a Kreg PRS1025 top or a 32 in wide table

Kreg designs the 36 in PRS1015 for a 32 in table width with the bit hole 16 in from the right side, on tops 3/4 to 1-1/2 in thick, and lists its PRS1025 top as compatible.

Limitation: Kreg's Q&A says it does not fit the SawStop RT-F27 or Ryobi A25RT03 and is not suited to the PRS2100 benchtop; its 2-1/2 in port size comes from a Q&A answer, not the spec table.

Choose the Woodpeckers SF-PRO Universal for an edge-rail or slotted table in its range

Woodpeckers says it fits tables whose slots are 16-3/4 to 33-1/4 in apart, including edge-rail tables such as JessEm and SawStop, and states a port for 2-1/2 in or 2-1/4 in hose.

Limitation: The page we read shows no fence length or table thickness range; the 0.001 in dial graduations are scale markings, not measured accuracy.

How we compared them

Both fences are in our approved catalog, and both makers state a mounting range and a port size. We compare only what the makers publish: where each fence mounts, the tables each maker names or excludes, the hose each port takes and how each maker describes adjustment. We have not handled either fence.

Kreg's own PRS1025 top measures 1-1/16 x 24 x 32 in, and Kreg lists it as compatible with its Precision Router Table Fence.[3] That is the pairing the PRS1015 is designed around.

The two makers state fit in different terms. Kreg describes a table: width, bit position and thickness. Woodpeckers describes a slot spacing and names edge-rail brands. Measure your own table against both; see our fence mounting guide for a checklist.

A hose that fits is a connection. Neither maker publishes a capture figure, and we make no dust-capture claim for either fence. More in our dust port guide.

Adjustment, as the makers describe it

Woodpeckers says the SF-PRO has 1 mm-pitch screw-feed adjustment with 0.001 in (0.025 mm) micrometer dial graduations on both the infeed and outfeed fences, a solid phenolic base and MDF sacrificial fences.[2] Those are scale graduations, not measured accuracy.

The Kreg facts we verified cover the PRS1015's size and mounting, not its face adjustment. Check Kreg's page if separate infeed and outfeed adjustment matters to you; our split fence guide explains why it might.

Who should choose which

  • Kreg PRS1025 top, or a 32 in wide table with the bit 16 in from the right: the Kreg PRS1015, the fence Kreg designs for that layout.
  • JessEm or SawStop edge-rail table: the Woodpeckers SF-PRO Universal, which Woodpeckers names for those tables. Kreg says the PRS1015 does not fit the SawStop RT-F27.
  • Ryobi A25RT03 or Kreg PRS2100: not the PRS1015, per Kreg. Check the SF-PRO's slot range against your table before buying.
  • A shop vac with 2-1/4 in hose: Woodpeckers names that hose size; Kreg's Q&A names only 2-1/2 in.

Questions

Which fence fits a SawStop router table?

Woodpeckers names SawStop among the edge-rail tables the SF-PRO Universal fits. Kreg's Q&A says the PRS1015 does not fit the SawStop RT-F27.[2][1]

Which fence fits the Kreg PRS1025 table top?

Kreg lists the PRS1025 top as compatible with its Precision Router Table Fence, the PRS1015. Woodpeckers' range is stated by slot spacing, so measure your top's slots before choosing the SF-PRO.[3][2]

Do both fences take a 2-1/2 in hose?

Woodpeckers says the SF-PRO port takes a 2-1/2 in dust collection hose or a 2-1/4 in shop vac hose. A Kreg Q&A answer gives the PRS1015 port as 2-1/2 in. Neither maker publishes a capture figure.[2][1]

Is the SF-PRO more accurate because of its 0.001 in dial?

We cannot say. The 0.001 in figure is Woodpeckers' dial graduation, not a measured accuracy, and we found no independent measurement of either fence.[2]
