Will my router fit this lift?
How JessEm, INCRA, Kreg and SpeTool publish router lists for their lifts, why the lift version matters, and what to do when your router is not listed.

Short answer
A lift fits your router when the lift maker names your exact router model, or its motor, for the exact lift version you are buying. A diameter that looks close does not count, and neither does a "fits most routers" line. If your model is not listed, ask the lift maker before you buy.
How the makers' lists differ
Each maker publishes its list in a different form, so read it the way that maker writes it.
JessEm groups compatible routers by 4.2 in and 3.5 in motor diameter, plus a list of "additional compatible routers".[1] Its 4.2 in group includes the Triton TFBR001 3-1/4 HP.[1] The Mast-R-Lift II manual puts the Porter-Cable 690/890, Bosch 1617/1618, DeWalt 610/618 and three Craftsman models at one clamp setting for a 3.5 in motor.[2]
INCRA lists routers by model for the imperial version of its Mast-R-Lift II, including the Milwaukee 5625, 5615, 5616 and 5619 and the Triton TFBR001.[3] INCRA says its metric version is currently not compatible with Milwaukee routers.[3]
Kreg says the PRS5000 accepts "20+ popular routers" per its compatibility chart, without adapters. The chart is an image we could not read, so we do not repeat its model list. A Kreg Q&A answer confirms the Porter-Cable 7518, and another says the DeWalt 625 "will not work".[4] Kreg says the PRS5000 fits all Kreg router tables.[4] Its "fits most standard tables" line is marketing, not a fit list.

The lift version matters
Fit lists belong to a version, not a brand. INCRA's imperial and metric Mast-R-Lift II differ on Milwaukee routers, as above. INCRA's discontinued PRL-V2 shows the same point: its one-piece carriage took the Milwaukee 5625-20 directly, while the Porter-Cable 890 series and Bosch 1617/1618 needed optional adaptor pads, which are also discontinued.[5]
Third-party ranges and claims
SpeTool lists its P01002 lift for motors from 2.56 to 4.21 in (65 to 107 mm).[6] SpeTool markets its P01004 as compatible with the Bosch RA1181 router table.[7] Both are SpeTool's statements. The RA1181 claim is not Bosch approval, and SpeTool names no Bosch router for it.
Collars and reducers
A reducer collar takes up the gap when a motor is smaller than the clamp. JessEm lists its Rout-R-Lift 3.5XT for 3.5 in motors, naming the Porter-Cable 690/890, Bosch 1617/1618 and DeWalt 610/616/618 among direct fits.[8] JessEm says the Makita 1101 and Hitachi M12VC/KM12VC need an optional 3D-printable collar.[8]
When your router is not on the list
Ask the lift maker before you buy. Do not infer fit from a similar model number: JessEm's chart, for example, lists the Milwaukee 5626, and that line says nothing about the 5625. JessEm's older Rout-R-Lift II came in several model numbers, and no maker source in our register says which one fits which motor.
Plunge routers
A lift holds a motor, not a whole router. Many lift lists name a motor that also sells in a plunge kit, but the maker's list decides. If you own a plunge router, check whether its motor comes out of the plunge base and whether that motor is named.
Checklist before you buy
- The full model number on your router's label, not the family name.
- Whether the list names the motor alone or the router with a base.
- The lift version: imperial, metric or the 8-1/4 in plate.
- Any clamp setting, collar or pad the maker says you need.
- That the lift's plate outline matches your table opening.

Choose the JessEm Mast-R-Lift II 02120 (9-1/4 x 11-3/4 in plate) if your router is on JessEm's chart, the Rout-R-Lift 3.5XT for a listed 3.5 in motor (add JessEm's collar for a Makita 1101 or Hitachi M12VC), or the Kreg PRS5000 for a Kreg table and a router on Kreg's chart.

Questions
My router is not on the list: will it fit?
Treat it as not confirmed. Ask the lift maker before you buy, and do not infer fit from a similar model number or a diameter range.
Does a lift fit a plunge router?
A lift holds the motor, so it depends on whether your motor comes out of its base and whether the lift maker names that motor. Check the maker's list for your exact model.
Do I need a reducer collar?
Only if the lift maker says so for your motor. JessEm, for example, says the Makita 1101 and Hitachi M12VC/KM12VC need an optional collar in its Rout-R-Lift 3.5XT.[8]
Does the metric version fit the same routers?
Not always. INCRA says the metric version of its Mast-R-Lift II is currently not compatible with Milwaukee routers, while its imperial list includes Milwaukee models.[3]
Does the Kreg PRS5000 fit a DeWalt 625?
A Kreg Q&A answer says the DeWalt 625 will not work. Another confirms the Porter-Cable 7518.[4]
