Identify your rack before buying a pulley
Why the brand name is not enough for rack pulley fit: model, year, upright, holes and crossmember, and how makers list hosts and exclusions.

Short answer
A rack pulley fits the racks its maker lists, not every rack from the same brand. Before you buy, find your rack's exact model and order date, then record four numbers: upright size, hole diameter, the spacing the mount needs and your crossmember size. Check them against the pulley maker's host list and its exclusions.
Why the brand name is not enough
Rogue sells two rack pulleys, and each fits a different family of Rogue racks. Rogue says the Monster Slinger fits only Monster Rack 2.0 models such as the RM-3, RM-4, RM-6 and Monster Cave. It excludes wall-mount racks, the RM-390F Flat Foot, Monster Collegiate Half Racks, the Monster Rhino Belt Squat + Rack and fold-back racks.[1]
The Monster Lite Slinger has its own list. Rogue names the RML-490, RML-690, Froning RML-4100C and Monster Lite Cave, and excludes wall-mounted racks, the HR-2, RML-3 and RML-390F.[2]
So "I have a Rogue rack" does not answer the question. The model number does.
Find the exact model and year
Look at your order confirmation, invoice or the rack's manual. Note the model name and the date you ordered it, because makers revise racks and the revision can change what fits:
- Fringe Sport says its Sidewing Bottom Pulley does not fit its Garage Series Squat Racks ordered between June and October 2020.[3]
- Titan says its lat tower for T-3 and X-3 bolt-down racks does not fit Flat Foot racks or T-3/X-3 racks bought before October 2021.[4]
- REP says only the PR-4000 and PR-5000 work with the Ares 2.0. The PR-5000 must be the updated version with 1 in holes along the upright, and the PR-4000 needs 16 in crossmembers with vertical holes.[5]
Titan also sells a separate lat tower for its T-2 series racks, which shows that one brand can need different attachments for different rack lines.[6]
The four numbers to record
| What to record | Why it matters | Example from a maker |
|---|---|---|
| Upright size | Mounts are made for one tube size | Fringe's Sidewing fits metric 75 x 75 mm "3x3" but not true 3x3[3] |
| Hole diameter | The mount's bolts are sized for it | REP 4000 Series uses 5/8 in pinholes, 5000 Series 1 in[7] |
| Spacing between the mount's holes | Both bolts must line up with your holes | Rogue lists the Slinger's mounting holes as 8 in on center[1] |
| Crossmember size and height | Some low pulleys clamp to it | Surplus's UPS Low needs a 3x3 or 2x3 lower crossmember with a top height of at least 6.75 in[8] |
Our guides on upright sizes and mount hole sizes explain how to read each one.
Read the host list and the exclusions
Makers publish fit in two ways: a list of racks it fits, and a list of racks it does not.
- Fringe lists its Sidewing for metric 75 mm "3x3" tubing, 2x3 tubing with 5/8 in holes and 2x2 tubing with 1 in or 5/8 in holes.[3]
- Valor lists its RG-26 for its own 3x3 rigs, the BD-58 3x3 half rack and the BD-57 compact 3x3 strength rack.[9]
If your rack appears on neither list, the maker has not said it fits. Ask the pulley maker, with your model, year and the four numbers, before you order.
When the rack needs a different part
Rogue says standard Monster Lite crossmembers lack cable holes, and it offers pre-drilled Monster Lite 3.0 crossmembers.[2] That is the maker's route. Do not modify your rack to make a pulley fit; ask the rack maker which part it sells.
The same goes for the floor. Rogue says the rack must be secured to the floor for the Monster Slinger and fastened to the floor for the Monster Lite Slinger.[1][2] Follow the rack and pulley manuals for that step.
Picks that list their racks by model
If you own one of these Titan racks, these towers name the racks they fit. Titan lists a 300 lb weight plate capacity for the T-3/X-3 tower.[4]
Picks that fit2 products
Choose the Short lat tower (SKU 401035) only for a Titan T-3 or X-3 Series bolt-down rack bought in or after October 2021, not a Flat Foot rack.
More on choosing
Choose the T-2 tower only for a Titan T-2 Series rack, and check the purchase-date limit on Titan's product page first. On Amazon, check that 'Ships from / Sold by' is Amazon.com or Titan.

Questions
Will a pulley made for my rack's brand fit my rack?
Not automatically. Rogue's Monster Slinger fits only Monster Rack 2.0 models and lists exclusions, and the Monster Lite Slinger has its own host list, so check the exact model on the pulley maker's list.[1][2]
Where do I find my rack's model and year?
Use your order confirmation, invoice or the rack's manual, and note the order date. Revisions matter: Fringe excludes Garage Series racks ordered June to October 2020, and Titan's T-3/X-3 lat tower excludes racks bought before October 2021.[3][4]
What if my rack is not on the pulley maker's list?
Ask the pulley maker before you buy, and send them your rack model, year, upright size and hole size. Do not assume a rack fits because it looks similar to a listed one.
