Short answer
Separator kits with the same brand name differ. Some include a bucket, a hose and elbows; others are the separator alone. Read the contents list for the exact model before you buy, then plan a hose for both ports: one to the vacuum and one for pickup. If the kit has no bucket, buy one its maker names.

Oneida Dust Deputy Deluxe
Oneida's Dust Deputy Deluxe manual lists a 5-gallon, 100-mil bucket, a 2-inch by 36-inch hose and two 2-inch elbows among the kit contents. That contents table covers models AXD000004B and AXD250004, and the clamp band and O-rings come only with AXD000004B.[1]
Dust Deputy Low-Pro Deluxe
Woodcraft's listing for the Dust Deputy Low-Pro Deluxe kit (model AXD259922) includes a clear "collapse-proof" 5-gallon bucket and a 2-inch by 3-foot wire-reinforced vacuum hose.[2] The listing also says the kit is designed for vacuums with 2.5-inch hoses and includes casters, two elbows, gaskets and hardware. That describes this retailer listing, not every Low-Pro kit, and "collapse-proof" is the listing's wording.
On Amazon, listing B0CYN6KGVQ is titled as the Dust Deputy Low-Pro Plus cyclone separator kit and showed Amazon as the ships-from party when it was read.[3] We could not see who it is sold by, and could not confirm that Oneida links to it. Check "Ships from / Sold by" yourself before you order.
Dustopper PRO
Dustopper lists its PRO kit with a 12-inch-diameter separator, a 2.5-inch by 36-inch hose and two sweep elbows, and says it seals to a standard 5-gallon bucket.[4] The kit contents are the separator dome, a 36-inch hose and two high-flow sweep elbows; no bucket is listed.[4] The listing showed "Sold out" on 2026-10-14.
Dustopper also sells a PRO separator-only version, with elbows and hose sold separately.[5] It says the PRO latches onto a standard 5-gallon bucket without drilling or tools.[4]
Dustopper's manuals page offers a PRO owner's manual, gasket installation instructions and grounding instructions.[6] Read them before setup.
Which port goes to the vacuum?
It depends on the separator. Dustopper's FAQ says the top port of its separator connects to the vacuum and the front port is the pickup connection.[7] Other separators lay their ports out differently, so read your own manual.

The claims, as claims
Dustopper claims the PRO can capture up to 99.9 percent of dust and debris before it reaches the vacuum, without stating a test method.[4] It is Dustopper's claim. We have no separation figure for the Dust Deputy in our register.
Oneida says the Dust Deputy is designed for light debris such as wood dust and should not be used with smoldering or highly abrasive debris.[1] That is Oneida's limit; it is not a statement that the separator is safe for anything else.
Can I use a cyclone for drywall dust?
Not on our advice. Oneida describes the Dust Deputy as designed for light debris such as wood dust. Shop-Vac warns not to vacuum toxic, carcinogenic, combustible or other hazardous materials such as asbestos, arsenic, lead or pesticides with its vacuums.[8] For anything beyond wood dust, follow the separator and vacuum makers' manuals; our wood dust and safety guide covers what OSHA and NFPA say.
