Short answer
65 mm is the Makita RT0701C-class size: FoxAlien and Sienci name the Makita for their 65 mm mounts, Carbide 3D's Compact Router has a 65 mm body, and Sienci's AutoSpin (64.8 mm) fits 65 mm mounts. PwnCNC and Onefinity pair their 65 mm spindles with ER11, while Carbide 3D's current 65 mm VFD kit uses ER16.

Key facts
- Nominal bore
- 65 mm (about 2.56 in, calculated from 25.4 mm per inch)[1][2]A calculation, not a tolerance.
- Labels makers use
- 65 mm. Sienci gives the AutoSpin body as 64.8 mm and says it fits 65 mm mounts; Genmitsu's DS69 shoe is labeled 65-69 mm.[3][4]
- Routers and spindles made to it
- Makita RT0701C class (FoxAlien) and RT0700/RT0701 (Sienci); Carbide 3D Compact Router (65 mm body); Sienci AutoSpin (64.8 mm); PwnCNC 65 mm ER11 motors; Onefinity Redline 65 mm 1.5 kW; Carbide 3D 65 mm VFD Spindle Kit[5][1][6][3][7][8][9]
- Machines with a holder in this size
- Sienci LongMill MK2 (standard); Genmitsu 4040-PRO MAX (standard); Genmitsu 4040-PRO family (101-63-ZC65); Genmitsu PROVerXL 4030 V2 and 6050 Plus (extra 65 mm holder included); FoxAlien Masuter Pro (included) and FoxAlien's Z clamp for the Masuter Pro, Masuter 3, 4040-XE, XE-PRO, WM3020, Vasto and CL-4x4; PwnCNC Spindle Mount (65 mm bore)[1][10][11][12][13][14][5][15]PwnCNC says machines other than its Dominator need a separately sold adapter plate.
- Rings and shims to other sizes
- PwnCNC reducing shims 69 to 65 mm (25 or 75 mm high) and 80 to 65 mm (42 or 90 mm high)[16]PwnCNC says its shims were designed mainly around its own mounts and should sit evenly without overlapping a split, bolt or obstruction.
- Collet systems makers pair with it
- ER11 (PwnCNC 65 mm motors, Onefinity Redline 65 mm, Sienci AutoSpin, Carbide 3D ER-11 Compact Router); ER16 (Carbide 3D 65 mm VFD kit since May 2025); router collets (Makita RT0701C, Carbide Compact Router)[7][8][3][17][18][19][6]
- Dust boots for this size
- Carbide 3D Sweepy 2.0 65 mm (Compact Router, VFD kit or Makita); Genmitsu DS69 (65-69 mm). PwnCNC's PwnBoot is 80 mm only, with a 65 mm email waitlist; Onefinity's Suckit SM does not fit 65 mm spindles.[9][4][20][21]A waitlist does not mean a 65 mm PwnBoot is available.
- How to check yours
- Measure the body's outside diameter with a caliper on the band the mount clamps, and the mount's inside diameter. PwnCNC advises measuring mount ID, usable clamp height and body OD before ordering a shim.[16]Plain technique; we give no tolerance.

Watch out for
- 65 mm spindles do not all share a collet: PwnCNC and Onefinity use ER11, while Carbide 3D's current 65 mm VFD kit uses ER16.
- Onefinity's Suckit SM and PwnCNC's PwnBoot are 80 mm only; PwnCNC's 65 mm waitlist is not a product.
- Carbide 3D's precision collets fit only its Compact Router, not its ER-11 Compact Router or VFD spindles, even though all are 65 mm class.
- PwnCNC's 65 mm mount needs a machine-specific adapter plate on machines other than its Dominator.
