Short answer
Five approved dust shoes state the body diameter and hose port. Choose by the router or spindle you run: Genmitsu's DS69 for 65-69 mm, DS52 for 52 mm and DS3018 for 42 mm on Genmitsu machines; FoxAlien's 69 mm shoe (52, 65 and 69 mm bodies) or 42 mm shoe on FoxAlien machines. None is for 80 mm spindles.
How we chose
A shoe is on this list only if:
- The maker states the body diameter. Genmitsu's table matches the DS3018 to 42 mm, the DS52 to 52 mm and the DS69 to 65-69 mm spindles.[1] It says the DS69 does not fit 52 mm spindles.[2] The same rule decides the boots we could not list: Carbide 3D sells Sweepy 2.0 in 65, 69 and 80 mm collars,[3] and Onefinity's Suckit SM fits 80 mm spindles only.[4]
- The maker states the hose port. All three Genmitsu shoes have a 32 mm inner and 38 mm outer port.[1] For scale, Sweepy 2.0 takes a 2.5-inch shop-vac hose,[3] the PwnBoot a 4-inch hose with a reducer to 2.5 in,[5] and KentCNC's Mini a 2-1/2-inch quick connector.[6]

FoxAlien ships the Masuter Pro with 52 and 65 mm clamps and sells a 69 mm clamp separately,[7] so a Masuter owner who changes clamps needs a shoe for the new size.

OSHA says the primary way to control wood dust is local exhaust ventilation that captures dust at or near its source.[8] A shoe is part of that capture; none of these makers publishes an exposure figure, and we do not imply one.

Questions
Is there an 80 mm boot on this list?
No; none is in our approved catalog yet. Carbide 3D's Sweepy 2.0, Onefinity's Suckit SM and PwnCNC's PwnBoot all come in or are made for 80 mm, but they are not approved.[3][4][5]
Will a 38 mm port fit my shop vac?
Only if your hose or adapter matches. Genmitsu gives a 32 mm inner and 38 mm outer diameter for its DS-series ports; compare both numbers with your hose end.[1]
Does a dust shoe protect my lungs?
No source we read guarantees that. OSHA names local exhaust ventilation at the source as the primary control for wood dust; a shoe is the capture point, not a health guarantee.[8]
