Buying mower blades and parts on Amazon and AliExpress: what to check
Before you buy mower blades on Amazon or parts on AliExpress: part number and model list first, then the seller, the brand's warranty rule and the return terms.

Short answer
Match the part number and the maker's model list first, then check the seller. Oregon calls its own web store the official online store for Oregon products,[1] and its retailer directory lists Amazon in the US and Amazon Canada as online retailers,[2] but not AliExpress.[2] On Amazon, read "Ships from / Sold by" before you buy.
Start with the listing, not the store
A listing is worth checking only if it names the part you need. Look for four things:
- The part number your mower's parts list gives, or the number on your old part.
- The model list the part's maker publishes. A listing title that names your mower is the seller's wording; the maker's page is the record.
- The pack count. A "set" can be one blade or several; count against your deck.
- What is included. Frames, hardware and weights are often separate. EGO says nuts and bolts are not included with its AB2200D blade set.[3]
A cross-reference is the claim of the maker that states it. Craftsman, for example, describes its CMXGZAM110136 set as a replacement for Craftsman, Husqvarna, Poulan and Poulan Pro riding mowers using part numbers 532138971, 532138498, 532127843 or 127843.[4] That tells you which old numbers Craftsman matches it to. It does not name your mower.
Then the seller
Oregon. Oregon's own store is the only store on this site we call "official", because Oregon describes it that way.[1] Oregon's directory lists Amazon (US) and Amazon Canada for its lawn and outdoor power equipment products.[2] That does not make every Amazon seller of an Oregon part an authorized one, and the directory does not list AliExpress.
EGO. EGO's warranty applies only to the original purchaser when the product was bought from an authorized EGO retailer,[5] and EGO says it may reject warranty claims for products bought from unauthorized sellers.[5] Its North American warranty covers the United States, including its territories, and Canada.[5] EGO classes blades as routine maintenance parts, with 90 days of coverage for consumer use and 30 days for professional use.[5]
Amazon. Look at "Ships from" and "Sold by" on the listing: the seller of record is the business you buy from, whatever the brand on the part. Amazon's Associates Anti-Counterfeiting Policy states that the sale of counterfeit or inauthentic products is strictly prohibited.[6] That is a platform rule, not proof that any listing is genuine.
Other brands. We have not established an official Amazon or AliExpress store for any other mower or blade brand on this site. We have not been able to confirm a maker-run MaxPower website or store either.
Genuine parts
Toro's manual for the 22-inch Recycler 21465 says replacement parts and accessories made by other manufacturers could be dangerous and recommends genuine Toro parts.[7] If you choose an aftermarket part, choose it by the cross-reference its maker publishes, and keep the old part until the new one is fitted. See OEM vs aftermarket mower blades.
Returns
- Amazon: refunds may be reduced for returned items showing customer use, damage, or missing parts, accessories or manuals.[8] A blade that has been bolted on and run is a used item.
- AliExpress: AliExpress's Free Return terms, effective November 1, 2022, apply only to products carrying a "Free Return" label.[9] That document is from 2022; read the current terms on the listing.
Check fit before you open or fit a part, not after.
Checklist
| Check | What to look for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Part number | Your parts list's number, or the one on the old part | Fit is set by the number, not the deck size |
| Maker's model list | The part maker's own page | A listing title is the seller's wording |
| Pack count and contents | Blades per pack, hardware, frame, weights | Sets and kits differ |
| Seller | "Ships from / Sold by" on Amazon | The seller of record handles returns and may affect warranty |
| Warranty | The brand's authorized-retailer rule | EGO may reject claims for unauthorized sellers |
| Returns | Amazon's refund rules; AliExpress's "Free Return" label | Used or incomplete returns may be refunded in part |
If a warranty matters, one example is EGO's Select Cut blade sets. Buy them from a seller EGO authorizes:
Picks that fit2 products
Choose the AB2102D set only for the Select Cut LM2130, LM2133, LM2130SP, LM2135SP, LM2150SP or LM2156SP, and the AB2200D set only for the aluminum-deck LM2200SP or LM2206SP.
More on choosing
EGO says nuts and bolts are not included. On Amazon, check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com or EGO, since EGO's warranty requires an authorized EGO retailer.

Questions
Is it safe to buy mower blades on Amazon?
No listing is safe by default. Check that the part number and the maker's model list match your mower, then read "Ships from / Sold by" on the listing. Oregon's retailer directory lists Amazon in the US as an online retailer for its lawn products, which does not make every Amazon seller authorized.[2]
Does Oregon have an AliExpress store?
Oregon's US and Canada retailer directory does not list AliExpress. It lists Amazon and Amazon Canada as online retailers, and Oregon's own web store calls itself the official online store for Oregon products.[2][1]
Will EGO's warranty cover a blade bought from any seller?
Not necessarily. EGO's warranty applies only to the original purchaser when the product was bought from an authorized EGO retailer, and EGO says it may reject claims for products bought from unauthorized sellers. EGO covers blades for 90 days of consumer use.[5]
Can I return a used mower blade?
Expect a smaller refund, if any. Amazon says refunds may be reduced for returned items showing customer use, damage or missing parts. Check fit against the part number before you install a blade.[8]
