Short answer
For a 2-1/2 in locking wet/dry vac, CRAFTSMAN's CMXZVBE38759 is a 20-foot kit with three adapters that its maker says fits most 2-1/2 in vacs.[1] For Bosch 35 mm tool ports, Bosch's VAC005 has a 2-1/4 in friction-fit vac end.[2] For small tool ports, Cen-Tec's 95567 is a 1-1/4 in, 10-foot hose with tool adapters.[3]

- Its maker states the size family and length. A stretched length must be read as stretched. RIDGID's "extends up to 20 feet" for its LA2522 is an example of stretched-length wording.[4]
- Its maker states the tank end, the tool end, or both. RIDGID's LA2522 kit lists two NXT locking adapters, a drum locking adapter and a friction-fit adapter,[4] which shows what a full end list looks like.
- Its fit claim is read as written. "Most" stays "most". Shop-Vac's 5430138 is named "Universal Hose", and Shop-Vac says the hose changes to 2-1/2, 1-1/2 and 1-1/4 inch and fits standard and LockOn inlets;[5] that is a product name and a Shop-Vac statement, not a fit for every vacuum.
- The product is an exact brand and model in our catalog, and its store listing shows a button only after a US "Ships from / Sold by" check.

Will the CRAFTSMAN hose fit my RIDGID vac?
CRAFTSMAN says it fits CRAFTSMAN and most wet/dry vacs using a 2-1/2-inch hose; it does not list RIDGID models. RIDGID says its own LA2522 fits all RIDGID 2-1/2-inch inlet configurations.[1][4]
Is 20 feet the relaxed length?
Check the listing. For its LA2522, RIDGID says the hose extends up to 20 feet, which describes the stretched length. Compare stretched lengths with stretched lengths.[4]
