Westside vs 2-inch vs metric hole spacing
What Westside hole spacing means, how REP, Rogue, Titan, PRx and Force USA list their patterns, and when spacing decides whether an attachment fits.

Short answer
Westside spacing puts the holes closer together through the bench and clean-pull zone (1 in on Rogue's SML-2) and farther apart above and below (2 in). Uniform spacing keeps one pitch the whole way, usually 2 in, sometimes 3 in. Metric racks may use 50 mm. Spacing only decides fit for attachments with a second pin or lock tab; for those, it must match exactly.
What Westside spacing means
Westside spacing is a front hole pattern with tighter spacing where you set the bench press and pull heights, and standard spacing elsewhere. Makers define their own zones:
- Rogue lists the SML-2 with 1 in spacing through the bench and clean-pull zone and 2 in spacing above and below.[1] The page does not give the zone's start and end heights.
- Titan lists Westside spacing through the bench and clean-pull zone on the T-3, with 2 in spacing above and below.[2]
- Force USA lists MyRack with Westside spacing but gives no numeric pitch.[3]
So "Westside" tells you the shape of the pattern, not the exact heights where it changes. Measure your own rack.
Uniform 2 in and 3 in spacing
| Rack | Front spacing the maker lists | Source |
|---|---|---|
| REP PR-4000 | 2 in, with 1 in within the bench zone | REP rack guide[4] |
| REP PR-5000 | 2 in | REP rack guide[4] |
| REP PR-1000 | 2 in | REP rack guide[4] |
| REP PR-1100 | 3 in | REP rack guide[4] |
| Titan T-2 | 2 in on center; Titan does not mark it Westside | Titan T-2 page[5] |
| Rogue SML-2 | 1 in in the bench and clean-pull zone, 2 in above and below | Rogue[1] |
| Titan T-3 | Westside in the bench and clean-pull zone, 2 in above and below | Titan T-3 page[2] |
| PRx Profile CORE | 2 in front | PRx[6] |
Even "2 in on center" can hide exceptions. Titan says T-2 vertical holes are 2 in on center, although some sections between holes measure 1 in.[7] Check the zone you plan to mount in.
We do not publish the bench-zone pitch for Rogue's RML-690: the figure on Rogue's page looks like a typo.
Side holes
Side holes often follow a different pattern from the front. PRx lists the Profile CORE at 2 in on the front and 4 in on the side.[6] Titan lists 6 in side-hole spacing along the whole T-3 upright.[2] Keep front and side numbers separate on your measuring sheet.
Metric spacing
2 in works out to 50.8 mm, so 50 mm and 2 in are different pitches.[8] The gap is small between two holes and grows over a long span. Two Rep Cave retracted an earlier report that Titan hole spacing had become 2 in on all racks, saying Titan racks still had 50 mm spacing, and said the error came from Titan customer service information.[9] That is a historical correction, not a measurement of every Titan generation. Measure your rack.
When spacing decides fit
A J-cup that hangs on one pin works at any height the holes allow. Spacing starts to matter when an attachment needs a second pin, a lock tab or two mounting points in the same upright. Titan's T-3 strap spotter arms, for example, lock with two hitch pins per arm.[10]
Garage Gym Experiment reported that Titan T-2 accessories relying on lock-in pins did not fully work on a REP PR-1100: roller J-cups fit, but their lock-in pins could not be used as intended.[11] That is one reviewer's report on one pair of racks. It shows why a part built for one pitch should not be used on another unless its maker lists that rack.
If your attachment's second pin misses, stop. Our guide to locking pins that do not line up explains what to ask the maker.
Attachments whose maker names the rack
The T-3 strap spotter arms below are listed by Titan for T-3 racks, so the two-pin lock is built for that pattern. Single-pin J-cups are less sensitive to spacing:

Questions
What is Westside hole spacing?
Tighter spacing through the bench and clean-pull zone with wider spacing above and below. Rogue's SML-2, for example, uses 1 in spacing in that zone and 2 in above and below.[1]
Does hole spacing matter for J-cups?
For a J-cup that hangs on a single pin, spacing only changes how finely you can set the height. It matters for fit when the attachment has a second pin or lock tab that must land in another hole.
Is 50 mm spacing the same as 2 in?
No. 2 in works out to 50.8 mm, so a part built for one pitch can miss the other over a long span. Two Rep Cave retracted a report that Titan had moved to 2 in on all racks, saying they still had 50 mm spacing at the time.[8][9]
Why does my attachment's second pin miss the hole?
The attachment was built for a different pitch than your rack's. Stop and ask the attachment maker; never drill, file or leave the pin out.
