Short answer

Prusa says the MINI and MINI+ have four PTFE tubes (two external, two internal) to replace when deformed or worn, smooth rods to clean after about 200 printing hours, and no lubricant on the Z-axis trapezoid nut or lead screw. They take E3D V6-type nozzles. Prusa added input shaper with firmware 5.1.0, but lists the MINI and MINI+ as not compatible with its Accelerometer Set.

Maker maintenance rules
Four PTFE tubes (two external, two internal), replaced when deformed or worn; clean the smooth rods after about 200 printing hours; no lubricant on the Z-axis trapezoid nut or lead screw[4]Prusa says to clean the tubes with compressed air, not a solid wire, which can damage them inside. It allows the supplied Prusa lubricant or a good super lube on the X, Y and Z smooth rods, and says to check fans every couple hundred hours.

Recall status
No recall found on 2026-10-08[5]On 2026-10-08 we found the Bambu Lab A1 recall as the only 3D printer recall in CPSC's notices. That is a dated search, not proof that no recall exists.

Watch out for

  • There are four PTFE tubes, not one: two external and two internal. Do not push a solid wire through them; Prusa says compressed air.
  • Never lubricate the MINI+ Z-axis trapezoid nut or lead screw, per Prusa.
  • Prusa lists the MINI and MINI+ as not compatible with its official Accelerometer Set, even though input shaper arrived with firmware 5.1.0.
  • Prusa says crash detection is not compatible with input shaper.

What fits

Product details below are the seller's own description unless a source is shown. Pick the variant named for each item.

  • 0.4

    V6 brass nozzle

    E3D V6 brass nozzle, 1.75 mm x 0.40 mm (V6‑NOZZLE‑175‑400)

    Choose the 1.75 mm x 0.40 mm brass V6 nozzle (V6-NOZZLE-175-400).

E3D says its V6 brass nozzles are fully compatible with Prusa printers, and Prusa groups the MINI+ with the V6-type nozzle printers. Tighten V6 nozzles hot, as Prusa says.

  • 0.4

    Wear-resistant V6 nozzle

    Micro Swiss CM2 RepRap (V6) 1.75 mm nozzle (M2902)

Choose the 0.4 mm CM2 RepRap nozzle (M2902-04).

Micro Swiss lists the Prusa Mini, not the MINI+ by name; Prusa groups the MINI/+ as V6-type nozzle printers.

  • 0.4

    Hardened steel V6 nozzle

Micro Swiss M2 hardened high speed steel RepRap (V6) 1.75 mm nozzle, 0.4 mm (M2600‑04)

Choose the 0.4 mm M2 RepRap nozzle (M2600-04).

Micro Swiss lists the Prusa Mini, not the MINI+ by name; Prusa groups the MINI/+ as V6-type nozzle printers.

Questions

How many PTFE tubes does the Prusa MINI+ have?

Four: two external and two internal, per Prusa. Replace any tube that is deformed or worn, and clean them with compressed air rather than a solid wire.[4]

Does the Prusa Accelerometer Set work on the MINI+?

No. Prusa's product page lists the MINI and MINI+ as not compatible with its official Accelerometer Set. Prusa added input shaper to the MINI/MINI+ with firmware 5.1.0.[6][3]

How often should I clean the MINI+ rods?

Prusa says to clean the smooth rods after about 200 hours of printing, and not to lubricate the Z-axis trapezoid nut or lead screw. See the maintenance schedule.[4]
