Creality K1, K1C and K1 Max nozzles: integrated vs quick-swap

Check which nozzle assembly your K1, K1C or K1 Max has before ordering. What Creality lists for the K1C, the Unicorn kit and the ceramic heating block kit.

Short answer

Check which nozzle assembly is installed on your printer before you order. Creality itself tells K1 and K1 Max owners to check whether their printer has an integrated nozzle before choosing its Unicorn quick-swap kit. The K1C's listed stock nozzle is a hardened steel 0.4 mm tip; do not assume an early K1 has the same.

Picks that fitAll picks and how to choose

Check the installed assembly first

The K1 family has changed nozzle systems over its life. Creality's Unicorn quick-swap nozzle kit page tells K1 and K1 Max owners to check whether their printer has an integrated nozzle before choosing.[1] That is the maker's own warning: the model name alone does not tell you which nozzle you have.

Creality's wiki also has two separate pages: "Integrated Nozzle Replacement" under the K1C, and "Replace Nozzle" for the K1 flagship series.[2] We could read only their titles, so we give no steps or temperatures from them. Open the page that matches your printer and follow it.

K1C: what Creality lists

Creality's K1C support page lists a hardened steel 0.4 mm nozzle, an all-metal hotend, a 300 °C maximum nozzle temperature, a direct extruder and a CoreXY frame.[3] The same page's FAQ calls the nozzle a "quick-swap tri-metal nozzle". So the hardened steel is best read as the nozzle tip, not proof that the whole nozzle body is steel.

K1: do not assume early units match

Creality's current K1 support page lists a hardened steel nozzle, an all-metal hotend and a 300 °C maximum nozzle temperature.[4] The page does not say whether those specs describe the original 2023 K1 or the later revision with the integrated nozzle. If you own an early K1, check the installed assembly before you assume its stock nozzle is hardened steel, especially before printing carbon fiber or other abrasive filament.

The Unicorn page's "Ender-3 V3" is not the V3 SE or V3 KE.[1] The page also does not establish fit for the K1 SE.

Creality lists its K1 Series Ceramic Heating Block Kit as compatible with the K1, K1 Max and K1C.[5] It does not say whether the kit covers the 2023 and 2024 revisions differently, so do not treat it as a drop-in for every K1 revision without asking Creality. Because the kit includes a heating block, its installation is a heater change: follow Creality's instructions for your exact revision, and use Creality support if anything does not match.

For a K1, K1 Max or K1C, choose Creality's K1 Series kit in the 'For K1/K1 Max/K1C' style, and match the terminal version (with or without buckle) to your printer.

More on choosing

The Micro Swiss FlowTech for K1 / K1 Max / K1C / K1 SE (M3101) is a whole hotend instead; Micro Swiss ships different hardware for older and newer K1 printers, and newer breakout boards need its separately sold adapter cable. On Amazon, check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com, Creality or Micro Swiss.

Firmware

Creality's support pages for the K1, K1C and K1 Max each listed firmware V1.1.0.27, dated March 11, 2026, when we checked.[3] The pages give no mainboard-revision note. Match firmware to your own board and setup, and do not treat one version as right for every unit.

A short ordering checklist

  1. Identify your exact model: K1, K1C or K1 Max.
  2. Look at the installed nozzle assembly, or ask Creality support with your serial number.
  3. Order only a kit whose Creality page names your model, and read its notes about integrated nozzles.

Questions

Is my K1 nozzle integrated?

Check the assembly installed on your printer. Creality's Unicorn kit page tells K1 and K1 Max owners to check whether their printer has an integrated nozzle before choosing, and its support page does not say which K1 revision its specs describe.[1][4]

Does the Unicorn nozzle kit fit the K1 Max?

Creality lists the Unicorn kit for the K1C, Ender-3 V3 and Ender-3 V3 Plus, and tells K1 and K1 Max owners to check for an integrated nozzle first. Check your assembly and ask Creality support if unsure.[1]

Is the K1's stock nozzle hardened steel?

Do not assume it. Creality's current K1 page lists a hardened steel nozzle, but it does not say whether that describes the original 2023 K1 or a later revision. Check the installed assembly.[4]

What nozzle does the K1C come with?

Creality's K1C support page lists a hardened steel 0.4 mm nozzle in an all-metal hotend with a 300 °C maximum. The same page also calls it a quick-swap tri-metal nozzle.[3]
