Short answer
These three surface cleaners come from makers that publish the inlet and the pressure they are rated for: SIMPSON's 80625, Westinghouse's own cleaner and a Greenworks kit with an extension wand. Read each maker's figures against your machine's rated PSI and GPM, and skip any cleaner whose minimum is above your machine's output.
How we chose
A surface cleaner is on this list only if:
- Its maker states the inlet. Consumer cleaners usually attach with a quick-connect where a nozzle would go. RYOBI's RY31SC12 is a 12 in, 2,300 PSI cleaner that attaches with a 1/4 in quick connect.[1]
- Its maker states a pressure rating, ideally a range. A minimum matters as much as a maximum. SIMPSON's discontinued 80165 is listed for cold water from a minimum of 2,200 PSI and 2.3 GPM up to 3,700 PSI.[2] Some makers give only a ceiling: DEWALT rates its 18 in DXPA34SC up to 3,400 PSI and lists no minimum or maximum GPM.[3]
- You can compare it with a rated figure. Sun Joe's SPX3000 manual lists 1,450 PSI and 1.24 GPM as rated working output,[4] and Kärcher says its residential washers flow between 1.25 and 2.5 GPM depending on the model.[5] Those are the figures to put against a cleaner's range.
- It is an exact brand and model in our catalog, and its store button shows only after a US "Ships from / Sold by" check.

SIMPSON surface cleaner with a stated minimum
SIMPSON 80625 universal 16.5 in surface cleaner, 2,000‑4,000 PSI, 1/4 in QC
Pick it if: Owners whose machine's rated output sits inside the range SIMPSON states
- Why it's here
- SIMPSON states this cleaner's inlet and the pressure and flow range it is rated for on its product page, including a minimum, which is the figure that rules smaller machines out.
- Watch out
- We have not yet verified this part number's figures in our fact register, so we do not repeat them here. Read SIMPSON's range and compare its minimum with your machine's rated PSI and GPM. On Amazon, check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com or SIMPSON.
- Connection standard of each end (M22, 3/8 in QC, 1/4 in QC, NPT, garden-hose thread, brand bayonet)
- 1/4 in quick connect
- Male or female end
- Not stated
- M22 bore (14 mm or 15 mm)
- Not stated
- Maximum PSI rating
- 2,000 PSI minimum to 4,000 PSI maximum
Values are the manufacturer's specs unless marked.
Westinghouse's own surface cleaner
Westinghouse universal 15 in pressure washer surface cleaner, 3,400 PSI, 1/4 in QC
Pick it if: Westinghouse owners whose machine Westinghouse names for this cleaner
- Why it's here
- Westinghouse sells this cleaner and names the machines it is meant for, its inlet and its rating on its product page.
- Watch out
- We have not yet verified its figures in our fact register. Read Westinghouse's page for the machines it names and any it excludes before you order. On Amazon, check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com or Westinghouse.

Greenworks surface cleaner kit with an extension wand
Greenworks 5210902 15 in surface cleaner with 12 in extension wand, 3,100 PSI, 1/4 in QC
Pick it if: Greenworks owners who want a cleaner and an extension wand in one kit
- Why it's here
- Greenworks sells this surface cleaner as a kit with an extension wand and states its inlet and rating on its own pages, for its own washers.
- Watch out
- We have not yet verified its figures in our fact register, and Greenworks' US page could not be read. Check the inlet, rating and water temperature limit against your machine. On Amazon, check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com or Greenworks.

What to read on the maker's page

|---|---|
| SIMPSON 80625 | Inlet; minimum and maximum PSI and GPM; water temperature |
| Westinghouse surface cleaner | Inlet; rating; the machines it names and any it excludes |
| Greenworks 5210902 kit | Inlet; rating; water temperature; the washers it is listed for |
Before you order
- Find your machine's rated PSI and GPM on its page or in the connection finder.
- Match the cleaner's inlet to your wand's outlet.
- Use hot water only if the cleaner and every other part are rated for it.
- On Amazon, check that "Ships from / Sold by" shows Amazon.com or the brand.

Questions
How do I know if a surface cleaner suits my machine?
Compare the cleaner's stated range with your machine's rated output. SIMPSON listed its 80165 from a minimum of 2,200 PSI and 2.3 GPM, so a machine rated below that sits outside SIMPSON's range.[2]
What if a maker lists no GPM?
Then the flow fit cannot be confirmed from the maker. DEWALT, for example, lists no minimum or maximum GPM for its DXPA34SC.[3]
Why is no figure shown for these three?
We publish a figure only after checking it for our fact register. Until that check is done for these part numbers, read the range on each maker's page.
