These are machine makers' own adapters: Sun Joe's M22 adapter for its SPX series, and Westinghouse's 4-piece and 6-piece quick-connect kits for its ePX and WPX machines. Each maker names the ends on its own page. Read them there, match each end to the part beside it, and check the rating against your machine.
How we chose
An adapter is on this list only if:
- Its maker names both ends. A good adapter listing gives the standard, size and gender on each side. AR Blue Clean's PW554-B, for example, is described as a 15 mm M22 swivel inlet and a male M22 x 14 mm outlet.[1] MTM Hydro names its M22 adapters by inner size, such as an M22 plug (14 mm) by 3/8 in stainless QC coupler,[2] and sells separate M22 adaptor kits for 14 mm and 15 mm connections.[2]
- The bore matters. AR Blue Clean says a 14 mm stem in a 15 mm bore will leak, and a 15 mm stem will not fit into a 14 mm bore.[3]
- A rating is stated, or the gap is clear. RYOBI rates its 7-piece RY31QCK01 kit for pressure washers up to 4,000 PSI,[4] and ECHO lists its two M22 to 3/8 in adapters for operation up to 4,000 PSI.[5] Where no rating is stated, Cat Pumps' rule applies: a high-pressure system is only as strong as its weakest component.[6]
- It is the machine maker's own part where possible. Sun Joe's SPX3000 manual tells owners to use only hoses, fittings and couplings recommended by the manufacturer.[7]
- It is an exact brand and model in our catalog, and its store button shows only after a US "Ships from / Sold by" check.

Do these adapters fit other brands?
Each maker sells its kit for its own machines. An adapter can join any two parts whose ends match it, but check both ends and the rating; Cat Pumps advises that a system is only as strong as its weakest component.[6]
What if an adapter has no pressure rating?
Then you cannot know its limit. AR Blue Clean, for example, lists no pressure rating for its PW554-B adapter and tells buyers to check their hose's PSI rating instead.[1]
