Short answer
For a Bosch sander or router kit, Bosch's own VAC024 is the adapter Bosch names for 1-1/4 or 1-1/2 in vacuum hose.[1] For several small-port tools on a Cen-Tec hose, Cen-Tec's soft TPE adapters come in 0.75 to 1.5 in.[2] To step 4 in hose down to a 2-1/4 in port, POWERTEC's 70147 states both ends' outside diameters.[3]
How we chose
An adapter is on this list only if:
- Its maker states the size of each end, or names the exact tools it is for. Rockler's FlexiPort 64358, listed as 3/4-inch ID by 1-1/4-inch OD, is the kind of statement we look for.[4]
- A stated range is read as a claim. Cen-Tec lists an adjustable adapter (41851) with a stated range of 0.5 to 2.63 inches;[2] a range is what the maker says, not proof for every port inside it.
- Undimensioned kits are out. Shop-Vac's 3-piece adaptor kit names no pieces and gives no dimensions.[5]
- The product is an exact brand and model in our catalog, and its store listing shows a button only after a US "Ships from / Sold by" check.
Three approved adapters met this bar on 2026-10-14. Measure your port before you choose: Rockler advises measuring both the inside and outside diameter of each port and hose connector.[6]

- The sizes are nominal dust-port labels, not drawings, so measure your port first. Before you order
- Cen-Tec needs Cen-Tec hose. Cen-Tec says its threaded hose fittings fit 1-1/4-inch threaded crushproof hose and are not compatible with most blow-molded hoses supplied with shop vacuums.[7][8]
- Bosch's list stops at Bosch. The RA1172AT page names VAC002 and VAC024 for 1-1/4- and 1-1/2-inch hoses and VAC020 for 2-1/2-inch hoses.[9]

Why is Shop-Vac's adapter kit not here?
Shop-Vac describes its 3-piece adaptor kit (8019848) as polypropylene adapters for friction-connect or lock-on hoses, but names no pieces and gives no dimensions, so it fails our both-ends rule.[5]
