Short answer
Start with the input rating your printer's maker states and the label on your unit. Some printers accept 100-240 V on their own; ELEGOO says the Neptune 3 Pro needs its voltage dial set by hand for 110 V. Replace a power supply only with the maker's own part for your exact model: Prusa's PSU 24V 240W assembly fits the MK3/S/+ only, not the MK4.

Read the maker's input rating
North American outlets supply about 120 V, so the first question is whether your printer accepts that input. The answer is on the maker's spec page and on the label on the printer or power supply.
- ELEGOO Neptune 4 Pro: input 115/230 V, 50/60 Hz.[1] ELEGOO's page does not say whether a switch selects the voltage, so read your unit's label and manual.
- ELEGOO Neptune 4 Plus: the voltage row reads 100-120V/220-240V.[2]
- Sovol SV06 Plus ACE: a 500 W/24 V power supply rated for 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz input.[3] Do not transfer these specs to the original SV06 Plus.
- Prusa MK4S: a 240 W power supply made by Delta, with Power Panic hardware.[4]
Voltage dials: ELEGOO's Neptune 3 series
ELEGOO says the Neptune 3 Pro needs its voltage dial set by hand for 110 V supply, while the Neptune 3 Plus and Max need no manual voltage setting.[5] That statement covers the Neptune 3 series only; it says nothing about the Neptune 4.
We give no steps for setting a voltage selector. Check the dial on your own unit against the manual that came with it, and contact ELEGOO support before powering on if the setting does not match your outlet.
What we could not verify
- Creality Ender-3 V3 manuals: we could not read the manuals that are said to describe a 115 V / 230 V switch, so we cannot confirm that instruction. Follow the manual for your exact printer.
- Mean Well replacement supplies: we could not read Mean Well's own specification for how its LRS-350 family selects the input range. Distributor listings are not the maker.
Where we cannot confirm a switch, we do not tell you how to set it.
Replacement power supplies: match the exact model
Prusa's PSU 24V 240W assembly is listed by Prusa as compatible with the MK3/S/+ only, and not with the MK4, XL or CORE One.[6] A reseller listing we found claimed MK4 fit; Prusa's own page says otherwise, and the maker's page is the one to trust. For an MK4 or MK4S, ask Prusa for the correct part.
The general rule: a replacement power supply is the maker's part for your exact model and revision. A different unit with the same output voltage can differ in connectors, fusing, mounting and the signals the board expects.
| Printer | Maker-stated input or power supply |
|---|---|
| ELEGOO Neptune 4 Pro | 115/230 V, 50/60 Hz |
| ELEGOO Neptune 4 Plus | 100-120 V / 220-240 V |
| ELEGOO Neptune 3 Pro | Voltage dial set by hand for 110 V |
| ELEGOO Neptune 3 Plus, Max | No manual voltage setting |
| Sovol SV06 Plus ACE | 500 W/24 V, 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz |
| Prusa MK4S | 240 W Delta unit with Power Panic |
| Prusa PSU 24V 240W assembly | MK3/S/+ only; not MK4, XL or CORE One |
High-power AC heated beds are mains parts
Some printers heat the bed straight from the wall. Creality sells a K1 Max hotbed kit listed as a 110V/220V AC, 1000 W heated bed.[7] An AC heated bed carries mains voltage to the moving bed. Replacing one is a job for Creality's service route or a qualified electrician, not a DIY wiring project, and we do not repeat third-party wiring or fuse advice.

Questions
Does my printer work on 120 V?
Read the maker's input rating and your unit's label. For example, ELEGOO lists the Neptune 4 Pro at 115/230 V, 50/60 Hz, and Sovol lists the SV06 Plus ACE power supply for 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.[1][3]
Do I need to set a voltage switch?
It depends on the model. ELEGOO says the Neptune 3 Pro needs its voltage dial set by hand for 110 V supply, while the Neptune 3 Plus and Max need no manual setting. Follow your own printer's manual, and ask the maker if it is unclear.[5]
Can I use an MK3 power supply on an MK4?
No. Prusa's own page lists its PSU 24V 240W assembly as compatible with the MK3/S/+ only, and not with the MK4, XL or CORE One, whatever a reseller listing says.[6]
What power supply does the Prusa MK4S use?
Prusa specifies a 240 W unit made by Delta with Power Panic hardware for the MK4S.[4]
Can I replace my printer's power supply myself?
A power supply works at mains voltage. Use the maker's own replacement part and its instructions, or the maker's service route or a qualified electrician; do not open or rewire a power supply.
