Short answer
Both kits are Micro Swiss NG direct drive extruders for the same Creality models: CR-10, CR-10s, CR-10-S4, CR-10-S5, Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro and Ender 3 V2. The choice is the nozzle system. The NG keeps a conventional all-metal hotend; the NG REVO uses E3D Revo nozzles that change by hand. Neither kit is for the Ender 3 V2 Neo.
Choose the NG to keep a conventional all-metal hotend
Micro Swiss lists a 3:1 hardened steel dual-gear drive with an LDO motor, and names the CR-10, CR-10s, CR-10-S4, CR-10-S5, Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro and Ender 3 V2. It includes an all-metal hotend and reuses the printer's heater and thermistor.
Limitation: Not for the Ender 3 V2 Neo, which has its own Micro Swiss kit (M3208). Micro Swiss publishes no E-steps number, only a G-code download, so plan to calibrate the extruder after fitting.

The same NG direct drive built around an E3D Revo hotend, listed by Micro Swiss for the same Creality models. E3D says Revo nozzles change by hand when cold, with no hot tightening.
Limitation: Revo nozzles do not fit V6-style heater blocks, so your existing nozzles will not carry over. It comes in 24 V (M3301) and 12 V versions: match your printer's supply, and confirm the listing says 24 V.

Micro Swiss names the printers each kit fits. Its NG kit for the CR-10 and Ender 3 family (M3201) lists the CR-10, CR-10s, CR-10-S5, CR-10-S4, Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro and Ender 3 V2. It sells a separate NG kit for the Ender 3 V2 Neo (M3208), and its installation page lists separate kits for the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 Max Neo too.[1] A V2 kit is not a V2 Neo kit. If you are not sure which you own, use the model and revision guide first.
If your Ender 3 or CR-10 has been converted to a linear rail, Micro Swiss sells an NG adaptation plate for printers fitted with an MGN12 rail and an MGN12H carriage block. The rail is not included.[2]
Gearing and drive
Micro Swiss lists its NG direct drive extruder with a 3:1 gear ratio, a hardened steel dual-gear drive and an included LDO stepper motor.[3] It publishes no E-steps value, offering a G-code download instead. Either kit changes your extruder, so calibrate E-steps after fitting; see E-steps and rotation distance.
For context, Bondtech states a 3:1 reduction for its BMG and BMG-based extruders, and lists 415 E-steps for the BMG at 16 microsteps.[4] A stated ratio does not tell you the E-steps on its own: gear sizes differ between makers.
Filament size
Some extruders support only one filament size: Bondtech states that its LGX supports only 1.75 mm filament.[5] The Micro Swiss pages behind our verified facts do not state a filament size for these two kits, so confirm it on the product page matches your printer's filament before ordering.
The nozzle system: the real difference
The NG REVO carries an E3D Revo hotend. E3D describes each Revo nozzle as a nozzle and heat break in one unit, changed by hand when cold without hot tightening.[6] E3D also states that Revo nozzles are not compatible with V6-style heater blocks, so nozzles you already own will not carry over.[6] The Revo vs V6 guide covers temperatures and the Z offset check.
The NG REVO comes in 24 V (M3301) and 12 V versions. Match your printer's supply voltage, and if you are not sure what it is, check the printer's manual or ask Creality before ordering.

Questions
Does the Micro Swiss NG fit the Ender 3 V2 Neo?
Not the M3201. Micro Swiss sells a separate NG kit for the Ender 3 V2 Neo (M3208), and lists separate kits for the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 Max Neo too.[1]
Can I use my old nozzles with the NG REVO?
Not V6-style ones. E3D states that Revo nozzles are not compatible with V6-style heater blocks, and a Revo hotend takes only Revo nozzles.[6]
What about my Ender 3 with a linear rail?
Micro Swiss sells a linear-rail NG adaptation plate for CR-10 and Ender 3 printers fitted with an MGN12 rail and MGN12H carriage block. The rail is not included.[2]
Why are Bondtech extruders not in this comparison?
No Bondtech kit is approved in our catalog yet. Bondtech lists authorized resellers in the US and Canada and ships from Sweden, but names no Amazon or AliExpress store.[8]
