Short answer

Kärcher's bayonet guns and gun-and-hose kits fit only the Kärcher models Kärcher lists. The 2.643-910.0 kit excludes models with hose reels, the K1700 to K2000 electrics, Kärcher gas models and every other brand. Kärcher's own pages also label its kit part numbers inconsistently, so check your exact model name in Kärcher's finder before you order.

Kärcher's own connections

The Kärcher bayonet gun kit uses a Kärcher-specific quick connect for the high-pressure hose and a Kärcher bayonet connection for spray wands, and the gun has a child safety lock.[1] These are proprietary interfaces, not M22 and not a 1/4 in quick-connect. See the Kärcher bayonet standard page.

Kärcher says its bayonet guns are not compatible with other brands of pressure washer.[2] It lists its consumer trigger guns for cold-water pressure washers only.[2]

Kit 2.643-910.0

Kärcher's 2.643-910.0 kit contains a replacement spray gun, a high-pressure hose and an adapter, rated to 2,000 PSI.[1] Kärcher says it is not compatible with Kärcher pressure washers that have hose reels, K1700 to K2000 electric models, Kärcher gas models, or other brands.[1] The page's description mentions K2 to K5, but its compatibility list also includes the K 1, so read the list for your exact model rather than the description. The page does not list a hose length.

Kit 2.644-343.0, and a part-number conflict

Kärcher's US spray-gun finder lists the Bayonet Spray Gun and Hose Kit as 2.644-343.0, compatible with "K2-K5 electric pressure washers" except models with hose reels, and not with other brands.[2] The K 5 Premium Smart Control is not in that kit's chart.

Kärcher's pages use 2.643-910.0 three ways: the product page calls it the Bayonet Spray Gun and Hose Kit, the spray-gun finder calls it a Trigger Gun and Hose Kit for older C-clip guns, and the hose finder lists it as the Replacement Hose Kit.[1] We do not call 2.643-910.0 and 2.644-343.0 interchangeable. If your model appears under one number and not the other, ask Kärcher before ordering.

Reel models: the standalone gun

Kärcher's spray-gun finder says the Bayonet Spray Gun and Hose Kit does not fit Kärcher models with hose reels, while the standalone Bayonet Spray Gun 2.642-889.0 is listed for reel models too.[2] If you own a reel model, look for your model under the standalone gun.

The M22 guns: VersaGRIP and Standard

Kärcher's VersaGRIP Spray Gun (8.755-203.0) and Standard M22 Spray Gun (8.641-024.0) both have male M22 connections and are listed for pressure washers rated up to 4,000 PSI.[2] The VersaGRIP has a Quick Connect inlet and ships with an M22 adapter that is needed only on machines with M22 hose connections.[2] Kärcher says a nozzle cannot be connected directly to either gun; a wand goes on first.[2] Kärcher does not state the M22 stem size, 14 or 15 mm.

The K1700 is different

Kärcher lists the K1700 (article 1.106-109.0) at a maximum of 1,700 PSI and 1.2 GPM.[3] Its page reads "Universal quick-connect nozzles and standard M22 hose connections."[3] That is Kärcher's wording; the page does not give the M22 stem size, the gender of each end or the nozzle quick-connect size. The bayonet gun-and-hose kit excludes it.

For hoses, Kärcher's hose finder lists a 25 ft hose (8.756-105.0) and a 50 ft hose (9.558-124.0) for its K1700-to-K2000-family electrics, with the K1900R and K2000 marked "only as an extension".[4] Check the live chart for your model. See the Kärcher K1700 page.

Read the finder's footnotes

Kärcher's hose finder matches five hose products to individual K-series and G-series models, with footnotes such as hoses that may need the connection reversed or can only be used as an extension.[4] It lists K2 models one by one, including the "K 2 Follow Me Cordless", and K5 models as K 5 Premium, K 5 Premium Flex and K 5 Premium Full Control Plus.[4] Match the exact name on your machine's label. See the Kärcher K 2 to K 5 page.

Picks that fit1 product

Choose the Kärcher Standard M22 Spray Gun 8.641-024.0 only for a machine with M22 hose connections rated 4,000 PSI or less, and only if Kärcher's finder lists your machine for it; it needs a wand before the nozzle.

Questions

Will a Kärcher gun fit my K5 with a hose reel?

Not the gun-and-hose kit: Kärcher says it does not fit models with hose reels. Kärcher lists the standalone Bayonet Spray Gun 2.642-889.0 for reel models too. Check your exact model in Kärcher's finder.[2]

Will a Kärcher gun fit a non-Kärcher pressure washer?

Not a bayonet gun: Kärcher says they are not compatible with other brands. Its VersaGRIP and Standard M22 guns are listed for other brands with Quick Connect or M22 connections rated 4,000 PSI or less.[2]

Is 2.643-910.0 the same as 2.644-343.0?

Kärcher's own pages conflict. The product page calls 2.643-910.0 the Bayonet Spray Gun and Hose Kit, while the spray-gun finder lists the bayonet kit as 2.644-343.0. We do not treat them as interchangeable; confirm with Kärcher.[1][2]

Does the K1700 use the bayonet?

Kärcher's K1700 page says it uses standard M22 hose connections and quick-connect nozzles, and the bayonet gun-and-hose kit excludes the K1700 to K2000 electrics. The page states no M22 stem size.[3][1]
