Questions

What size tamper fits the Breville Bambino?

About 53.3 mm. The Bambino has a 54 mm portafilter, but tools for its basket are made slightly smaller: Normcore lists 53.3 mm, and IMS's 54 mm Breville baskets call for 53 or 53.4 mm.[1][2][4]

Do Barista Express accessories fit the Bambino?

Normcore lists the same sizes for both (53.3 mm tamper and screen, 54 mm funnel), and both have a 54 mm portafilter. One exception: Breville's own 54 mm dosing funnel lists the Barista models but not the Bambino.[2][5][6]

Are the Bambino and Bambino Plus the same size?

Breville's product pages give both a 54 mm portafilter and an 18 g dose. Breville's spare portafilter SP0024799 is listed only for the Bambino Plus, though, so check the part before buying a replacement.[1][7][8]
