Short answer
All four hoses have both end fittings, a working pressure, an inside diameter and a length stated by their maker. Choose Flexzilla's HFZPW3425M for an M22 machine with a 14 mm outlet,[1] SIMPSON's MorFlex 40226 for a longer M22 hose once you know your bore, and SIMPSON's Monster Hose 41028 or Armor Hose 41114 for machines with 3/8 in quick-connect ends.
How we chose
A hose is on this list only if:
- Its maker states both end fittings. M22 alone is not enough: Flexzilla's table lists every one of its eight pressure washer hose SKUs with M22 fittings on a 14 mm stem, with each SKU's inside diameter and length.[1] Other makers state quick-connect ends: DEWALT lists its DXPA50PH with 3/8 in one-piece quick-connect socket and plug fittings,[2] and its DXPA25PH with M22 connections and an included 14/15 mm connector.[3]
- It states a working pressure, not only a burst figure. Flexzilla gives each hose a maximum working pressure, not a burst pressure, and ProPulse states burst separately, so the two numbers stay apart.[1][4]
- The rating follows the hose, not the brand. SIMPSON's listing rates its 1/4 in MorFlex hoses at 3,300 PSI, its 5/16 in MorFlex hoses at 3,700 PSI and its 3/8 in Monster Hose 80398 at 4,500 PSI.[5] We list the exact part number's rating.
- It can meet your machine's maximum. Generac's manual says to replace a damaged hose with one that meets or exceeds the unit's maximum pressure rating.[6]
- It is an exact brand and model in our catalog, and its store button shows only after a US "Ships from / Sold by" check.

M22 hose with a stated 14 mm stem
Flexzilla HFZPW3425M pressure washer hose, 1/4 in x 25 ft, M22 (14 mm stem)
Pick it if: M22 machines with a 14 mm outlet and gun, up to 3,100 PSI, that need a short 1/4 in hose
- Why it's here
- Flexzilla lists the HFZPW3425M as a 1/4 in x 25 ft hose at a maximum working pressure of 3,100 PSI at 70°F, and its table gives every pressure washer hose SKU M22 fittings on a 14 mm stem.
- Watch out
- A 14 mm stem leaks in a 15 mm bore, so confirm your outlet and gun take 14 mm. Flexzilla's table gives no maximum water temperature and no burst figure. Flexzilla names Amazon as a retailer brand-wide, not for this listing; check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com or Flexzilla.
- Connection standard of each end (M22, 3/8 in QC, 1/4 in QC, NPT, garden-hose thread, brand bayonet)
- M22 fittings with 14 mm stem
- Male or female end
- Female M22 both ends (listing claim)Seller claim
- M22 bore (14 mm or 15 mm)
- 14 mm stem
- Maximum PSI rating
- 3,100 PSI maximum working pressure at 70°F
Values are the manufacturer's specs unless marked.
Longer 5/16 in M22 hose
SIMPSON MorFlex 40226 5/16 in x 50 ft 3,700 PSI cold-water pressure washer hose, M22
Pick it if: M22 machines up to 3,700 PSI where you have confirmed the bore and want 50 ft
- Why it's here
- SIMPSON lists the MorFlex 40226 as a 5/16 in x 50 ft cold-water hose rated at 3,700 PSI and up to 140°F, with M22 threaded connections, a double O-ring design and 4 in bend protectors on each end.
- Watch out
- SIMPSON does not state whether the M22 ends are 14 mm or 15 mm, so check your machine's bore first. Cold water only. On Amazon, check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com or SIMPSON.
- Connection standard of each end (M22, 3/8 in QC, 1/4 in QC, NPT, garden-hose thread, brand bayonet)
- M22 threaded both ends, dual O-ring; adapter included for extension use
- Male or female end
- Not stated
- M22 bore (14 mm or 15 mm)
- Not stated
- Maximum PSI rating
- 3,700 PSI
Values are the manufacturer's specs unless marked.
3/8 in quick-connect hose for cold water
SIMPSON Monster Hose 41028 3/8 in x 50 ft 4,500 PSI cold-water pressure washer hose, 3/8 in QC
Pick it if: Gas machines with 3/8 in quick-connect outlet and gun ends, up to 4,500 PSI
- Why it's here
- SIMPSON lists the Monster Hose 41028 as 3/8 in x 50 ft, rated to 4,500 PSI and up to 140°F, with a 3/8 in male quick-connect plug on one end and a 3/8 in female quick-connect socket on the other. SIMPSON's page links Amazon.com among its retailers.
- Watch out
- Cold water only. It fits machines and guns with 3/8 in quick-connect ends, not M22 threads, without adapters. A maker link does not fix who wins the Amazon offer; check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com or SIMPSON.
- Connection standard of each end (M22, 3/8 in QC, 1/4 in QC, NPT, garden-hose thread, brand bayonet)
- 3/8 in quick connect both ends
- Male or female end
- 3/8 in male QC plug one end, 3/8 in female QC socket the other
- M22 bore (14 mm or 15 mm)
- Not stated
- Maximum PSI rating
- 4,500 PSI
Values are the manufacturer's specs unless marked.
3/8 in quick-connect hose rated for hot water
SIMPSON Armor Hose 41114 3/8 in x 50 ft 4,500 PSI hot and cold water pressure washer hose, 3/8 in QC
Pick it if: 3/8 in quick-connect systems up to 4,500 PSI where every other part is rated for the water temperature
- Why it's here
- SIMPSON lists the Armor Hose 41114 as a 3/8 in x 50 ft hot and cold water hose rated to 4,500 PSI and 250°F, with 3/8 in quick-connect plug and socket ends. SIMPSON's page lists Amazon among its retailers.
- Watch out
- The hose's temperature rating does not make the rest of a cold-water machine hot-water capable. Sun Joe's SPX3000 and Champion's 100386 manuals, for example, limit water to 104°F. Check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com or SIMPSON.
- Connection standard of each end (M22, 3/8 in QC, 1/4 in QC, NPT, garden-hose thread, brand bayonet)
- 3/8 in quick connect both ends
- Male or female end
- 3/8 in male QC plug x 3/8 in female QC socket
- M22 bore (14 mm or 15 mm)
- Not stated
- Maximum PSI rating
- 4,500 PSI
Values are the manufacturer's specs unless marked.

Before you order
- Read your machine's outlet and gun inlet on its page or in its manual. A 14 mm stem in a 15 mm bore leaks.
- Compare working pressure with your machine's maximum, not its rated output.
- A hot-rated hose does not make a cold-water machine hot-water capable.
- On Amazon, check that "Ships from / Sold by" shows Amazon.com or the brand.

Questions
Which of these fits an M22 machine?
Flexzilla's HFZPW3425M and SIMPSON's MorFlex 40226 have M22 ends. Flexzilla states a 14 mm stem; SIMPSON does not state the bore, so check your machine. The two SIMPSON 3/8 in hoses have quick-connect ends.[1][7]
Can I use a higher-rated hose than my machine needs?
Yes, if the ends fit. Generac's manual says a replacement hose must meet or exceed the unit's maximum pressure rating; a higher rating is a limit, not a fit.[6]
